The North Yorkshire Road Racing Supporters Club returns to action on Tuesday, 5th of February. On stage we will be hearing from some of the riders who have been backed by the Club in recent seasons, and there is a change of classes and machinery for a couple of them.
In 2018 Chrissy Rouse started the season as a front runner in National Superstock 1000, switched to British Superbikes mid season on a Suzuki scoring a top ten finish before his season was curtailed by injury. This season he is back in Superstock 1000 with a top team and hoping for a real shot at the Championship.
Elliot Lodge has been campaigning in the British 125 and Motostar series since 2008 and took a famous win at Donnington in 2017. But while there is no doubting the prestige and quality of the series, running a Moto 3 bike is horrendously expensive, so in 2019 Elliot is racing in the No Limits Endurance Championship for GB Moto on board a Suzuki SV 650. Also appearing is Sam Holme who is set for another season of National Superstock 600, but this year switches to the Optimum Bikes Team.
In 2018 the NYRRSC backed 14 riders in everything from British Minibikes to British Superbikes. Applications for sponsorship for the 2019 season are now invited. Riders based within a 50 mile radius of the Clubs' base in Northallerton should send a portfolio outlining their plans for the year to the Club electronically to Helen Graham.
